Shadow Priest Guide
Posted under Addons, Experience Tips, Fastest wow leveler, World of Warcraft Addon review, leveling guide | No CommentThe fine art of leveling a priest in World of Warcraft can be a real trial. Luckily, there are some tips and tricks that will help you achieve your goals faster and easier than ever before.
Priests are one of the most under-estimated character classes in all of World of Warcraft. Luckily, you can turn this to your advantage. We’re going to talk about some tips to building a fantastic priest with some excellent leveling specifications, and which talent tree to follow, specifically between holy or discipline.
If I do my job right, you’re going to have some great ideas for getting your priest up to the level you want and need, and do it very quickly. First things first, let’s talk talent trees. If you’re more of a solo player, you’ll want to follow the “Shadow” talent tree.
I know it’s hard to follow while your working from levels 1-20, but shadow priests are REALLY good at doing a lot of damage to a lot of different targets. If you’re a solo quester, go shadow. Shadow is a diverse tree at moderate to high levels, and you’ll be able to work with it better as you progress through the game. Remember, a character is only as good as the player, so use the lower levels to really master the class. You’ll also want to advance to Spirit Tap and Mind Flay QUICK! These are two of the best tools in a shadow priests arsenal.
Eventually, you’re going to pick up Shadow Form. That’s where things get REALLY fun. Now, don’t get me wrong, I strongly endorse Shadow talents as your best bet, but you probably have some questions on Holy as well, so let’s talk a little about that.
First of all, Holy is NOT a damage dealing class, so don’t throw yourself into the fray like a crazy person. The real fun from Holy is how useful you’ll be in group quests, instances, and raids. Everyone needs a good healer, right? You’ll be welcome ANY TIME. You can still survive as a solo quester, but it is going to take you longer to level this way. Even the fastest players take longer with Holy priests. It’s just the way it is. If you are planning to solo quest, be sure you take the damage per second skills available to you, like Smite and Holy Fire. It’s important to have a LITTLE muscle to back all that faith and healing power!
Another advantage, though, is the ability to improve your gear quickly and easily when you go into high level instances. The drops are from enemies and bosses are a GOLD mine for you. Playing a priest is one of the most unique aspects of World of Warcraft and, in my humble opinion, EVERY player ought to try it at least once. Priests are almost a whole different game within the game, and they WILL make you a better WoW player. Happy Shadows and Healing!
